Both of these organizations will celebrate in 2016 their 20th anniversary

The Fundación Cristina Heeren went back to Jerez. Three years ago the Catedra de Flamencología awarded the Fundación with the Premio National a la Enseñanza (National Prize of Teaching), and now, during the Festival de Jerez 2015, the Fundación presented an evaluation of the past 19th years and the future projects.

One year ago, on February 25th, 2014, Paco de Lucía passed away. The students of Fundación Cristina Heeren pay tribute to the musician who revolutionized flamenco guitar, playing 'Zyryab', instructed and accompanied by our maestro Pedro Sierra.

In 2015 the Festival de Jerez celebrates its 19th edition, from February 20th to March 7th. And the Fundación Cristina Heeren couldn’t miss such an important international event dedicated to flamenco dance.

One of the Fundación Cristina Heeren most ambitious and wanted aim is to give flamenco a University recognition, and it finally seems to become true. Our school has received the first student with a grant from Erasmus Plus.
