In Flamenco Guitar, the program will include the subjects ‘ Flamenco Guitar Technique’, ‘Guitar Accompaniment for Singing’ and ‘Guitar Accompaniment for Dance’.  And in Flamenco Singing, the subjects are ‘Vocal Technique’, ‘Styles’, and ‘Singing Accompaniment for Dance’.

As core subjects, common to all students, they will study ‘History and Theory of Flamenco’, given by Pepa Sánchez, graduated as a doctor in Flamencology, ‘Introduction to Tablao’ and ‘Flamenco Rhythms’.  In a complimentary manner, a masterclass is planned with Juan José Amador, Pedro Sierra and Rafael Campallo. As the school’s Academic Director, Pepa Sanchez explains, the Summer Course “is conceived as a synthesis of our Annual Flamenco Course but in a way for students not only appreciate the quality of our academic program, but also enjoy flamenco through an integrated and playful experience”.

In fact, the summer course offering from the flamenco school, a source of young Flamenco artists such as Rocío Márquez, India Martínez, Manuel Lombo, Argentina, El Choro or Manuel de la Luz, includes a flamenco guided tour and tickets for shows in the ‘Teatro Flamenco Triana’ (Triana Flamenco Theatre), the performance space nestled in the brand new headquarters of the Cristina Heeren Foundation in Triana. Additionally, the course hopes to encourage students to get to know the idiosyncrasy of Seville and its rich cultural offerings, as this year focuses on the fifth centenary of the Tour of the World by Magallanes and Elcano, and the arrangements for the Flamenco Bienal 2020 in Seville.
