The school proposes guided tours for the public on Thursday 16 November, in its singing, dance and guitar classes, and the screening of the documentary ‘School of Flamencos’

The Cristina Heeren Foundation of Flamenco Art celebrates the 2017 International Day of Flamenco with an Open Day. The flamenco school, with more than 20 years of history, wants to show the public its new facilities in the Triana street, Pureza number 76, where more than 100 students receive training daily in the specialties of singing, dance and guitar, under teachers such as José de la Tomasa, Juan José Amador, Milagros Menjíbar, Javier Barón, Pedro Sierra, Niño de Pura, Paco Cortés, Luisa Palicio and Maria José Pérez, amongst others. The activities include guided tours through the classrooms and the continuous screening of the documentary ‘School of Flamencos’. Additionally, it will be an extra special day for us, as the ONCE lottery coupon will be dedicated to the Cristina Heeren Foundation recognising its two decades of selfless work in the teaching, dissemination and conservation of this World Heritage art. Each year, the Cristina Heeren Foundation joins the commemoration of UNESCO’s declaration with activities such as interactive flamenco classes in the IES Heliópolis or the open rhythm class in the Seville Metro.
