Flamenco is an ancient and profound art
through which the people of Southern Spain
have expressed their deepest sentiments for
several centuries.
Flamenco is definitely alive today, but is lacking in the environment
where flamenco flourished in the past, and which enabled young
prospective artists to assimilate and develop this art form.
We offer a centre which combines an inspiring atmosphere with
a structured program of apprenticeship.
Thus, the Cristina Heeren
Flamenco Foundation, having come into existence with the
idea of promoting investigation, study, teaching, and propagation
of flamenco along traditional and orthodox lines, has established
its bases in Seville, the capital of Andalusia.
