Important Information
- The teachers of the Cristina Heeren Flamenco Foundation are artists on active service and during the academic year they can go away in order to meet their professional compromises. In these cases, the Foundation guarantees the continuity of the lessons. These classes are given by other teachers of the school or by their assistants. The registration includes the consent of this situation.
- Students who are not part of the European Union will have to pay the entire tuition in order to get the certificate which let’s them apply for a student visa in the Spanish consulates abroad.
- The dancing classes do not take place in headquarter of the Foundation, which is located in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood. On the contrary, the dancing classes will be given in the Juncal neighbourhood (Alberche street, number 2), twenty minutes by bus from the historical center of Seville. Finally, the dancing classes will be given in the mornings and also in the afternoons. The Foundation will publish the definitive schedule after two weeks of classes.
- The students of the Basic and Intermediate Dancing Courses must bring Flamenco shoes and skirts to dance. Once the students are in Seville the teachers may ask for castanets, shawls or fans. The students of the Advanced Dancing Course will need «Bata de cola» (tail dressing) gowns to dance.
- The students of the Basic Guitar Course must know how to play the guitar. Since the aim of the school is to teach how to play flamenco guitar, but not how to play guitar in general. The school does not provide the students with guitars. Students must bring their own guitars with them.
- All the students must bring a tape recorder, minidisk or any other recording set.
