The online placement test is only indicative and provisional and facilitates your insertion into the most appropriate level according to your knowledge and skills.

 

The teachers at the Fundación Cristina Heeren School of Flamenco Art are the only ones who determine the students’ levels.

The admission process at the Fundación Cristina Heeren School of Flamenco Art starts through the website.
It is necessary to follow these 3 steps:

Submission Deadlines

The student enrolling in the summer intensive course must mandatorily send a video (*) in MP4 format through the internet platform Wetransfer before May 31.

Placement Test Contents

VIDEO CONTENT:
The student applying for the basic/intermediate dance course must send a video that includes a short choreographic fragment of Flamenco dance or any other musical genre, which includes some of the following requirements:

  1. Simple turns
  2. Basic notions of footwork (flat, half-flat, heel)
  3. Basic notions of arm movements (hand movements and arm positions)
  4. Body coordination

VIDEO CONTENT:
The student applying for the intermediate/advanced dance course must perform a short Flamenco choreographic piece of a freely chosen style (minimum of 3 minutes, maximum 5 minutes).

The choreographic piece must include:

  1. Footwork
  2. Turns
  3. Body expression: arm movements and placement

Additionally, the student must demonstrate handling and use of accessories that make up the Sevillian School of Dance (bata and shawl):

  • 1 or 2 variations with a shawl.
  • 1 letra por alegrías (or another Flamenco style) with a tail skirt.

Accompaniment: the student may use recordings or live guitar and singing.
